Just over a year ago, Suffield Youth Theater (SYT) was founded by a group of eighth grade students with a passion for the arts. Since that time, SYT has produced multiple events including original theater works, an interactive Halloween production, several variety shows, and a workshop, all of which have met with great success.
SYT’s next production will be a musical retelling of the acclaimed classic, Pinocchio. As in all performances, every aspect of the show will be performed by students without adult assistance. “We are happy to be working with both old and new faces in this production, and we predict that this will be our best show yet” said Abby Bahl, the musical director for the show. The show will be performed in the Second Baptist Church’s Fellowship Hall and work has already begun on what will be an exciting set that stretches the limit of the venue. The show will be performed on August 19, 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. Get your tickets now at www.suffieldyouththeater.org/tickets.
