The Suffield Athletic Hall of Fame will be holding the Fran Aniello Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 1. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for annual Scholarships given to one male and one female Suffield resident who are graduating student athletes at Suffield High/Suffield Academy. Proceeds also help to defray the costs of the Hall of Fame induction ceremony that honors Suffield’s finest athletes and coaches. In addition, the tournament now serves as a tribute to Fran Aniello, a member of the Hall of Fame who passed away last fall after over 30 years as a basketball/golf/soccer coach and Athletic Director at Suffield High School.
