In a traditional Suffield late-summer activity, these farmhands are spearing a healthy crop of broadleaf and loading the lath on a tobacco rack to be hauled off to the curing sheds. Tractors and racks were shuttling back and forth, and this field, between Heritage Funeral Home and the West Suffield Cemetery, was almost empty by late Saturday morning, August 6.
