Are you looking for an incredible opportunity to help those in your own community? One that provides an opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and help those in need? If so, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is looking for you! We are the largest FREE volunteer –run tax preparation program in the nation with more than 35,000 volunteers and more than 5,000 sites nationally. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is a charitable foundation affiliate of AARP and is offered in conjunction with the IRS.

Our incredible teams of volunteers are people just like you who give a few hours each week during the tax season to help low-moderate income taxpayers prepare and file their federal and state tax returns ensuring that they receive the tax credits and deductions they deserve!

Right here in Connecticut alone last year our volunteers prepared and filed more than 24,000 free federal and state tax returns helping more than 35,000 taxpayers at our 95 sites throughout the state. This service alone saved Connecticut taxpayers more than 6.2 million dollars in tax preparation fees and returned more than $22 million dollars in federal refunds and credits to our clients.

We have a variety of positions from greeters to counselors and electronic return originators just to name a few. Our sites operate weekdays during the tax season and while personal tax return preparation is helpful, training is provided. To learn more about our program or to register as a volunteer, please visit our website @ www.aarp.org/taxaide or call 1-888-AARPNOW (1-888-227-7669). Once your registration is received, a volunteer in your area will contact you to discuss the program and answer any questions you may have.

We look forward to hearing from you!
