The Suffield Woman’s Club (SWC) welcomed General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Connecticut President Helen Barakauskas and the Women’s Club of Enfield to their general meeting in January. After a light luncheon and the business meeting, SWC Vice President Carol Dodd demonstrated almost 20 ways to tie different sized scarves. Members practiced with their own scarves and enjoyed the demonstration immensely. The SWC is currently doing a Terry Lynn Nuts fundraiser. Select from Deluxe Mixed, Spicy Party, Heart Healthy, Fruit and Nut, and Harvest Medley. All are one-pound bags, and prices range from $7.50-$12. Terry Lynn Nuts are packed to order, so you will be hard pressed to find fresher nuts. Call the number below to order nuts for your next event or just to have on the counter! SWC fundraisers support the club’s many projects.
The public is invited to the Tuesday, February 14, meeting at 12:30 p.m., at Father Ted Hall, Sacred Heart Church, when the Suffield Police Department will present “Scams & Frauds.” You’ll learn how to recognize and avoid them.
