The Suffield Firemen’s Association will be holding its third annual free Family Day and Fireworks on Saturday, July 15th at Spaulding Elementary School, 945 Mountain Road, Suffield from 4 – 9 p.m. In addition to great food from local restaurants and food trucks, kids’ games and the fireworks, there will be live music this year from local band, The Neighbors.

Knockerball is an inflatable sphere with inner handles and shoulder straps to allow the wearer to individually perform rolls, flips, and wheels.

Come early, let your kids enjoy the great variety of games, bounce houses, and enjoy some local food or bring your own picnic and stay for a fabulous fireworks display at dusk! In the event of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, July 16th.

The Association is asking this year for townwide groups or organizations, and individuals interested in making this an even better Suffield family day, to come get involved. If you have ideas or suggestions and would like to be included in planning for next year, please contact the Fire Department with your name and number. For further information and questions contact Alton Golden at 860-918-7112 or fireworks@suffieldfire.org.

The Association is a non-profit Connecticut Corporation, with its structure of officers and leadership distinct from that of the Fire Department.  It is the civic, charitable and social organization of the Suffield Fire Department.

The Association receives no funding from the Town of Suffield, and is the means by which Fire Department members give back to the community through programs such as:

Opportunities for firefighter study and training in the field of fire prevention
