Remembering Dustin

Our family would like to extend our deep appreciation and gratitude to the Suffield community for the overwhelming support, generosity, patriotism, love and most especially, the prayers offered to our family.

Paradise Found

The sea lions, pelicans, iguanas, sea turtles, giant tortoises, and many other creatures on the Galapagos Islands live in peace together with “most” human beings.

Suffield Salutes

On Tuesday, September 12, U.S. Navy Electronics Technician 2nd Class Dustin Louis Doyon was laid to rest in his hometown of Suffield.

Transparency in Government?

I am writing to express my concern about a recent letter written by Melissa Mack, First Selectman (FS) regarding the Bridge Street Community Center.

Elaine Sarsynski reflects on how much she appreciated Patrick McMahon’s work succeeding her as Economic Development director when she was first selectman. Town officials, local organization officers and other friends crowded the Selectman’s Meeting Room in Town Hall this summer to give Patrick a great send-off as he left town after 15 years to become the new president and CEO of Connecticut Main Street Center. In that role he will be helping many towns restore their historic downtowns and main streets.

Until We Meet Again . . .

After having the fortune of working for this great community for 15 years, I have taken the position of CEO of a statewide nonprofit called the Connecticut Main Street Center which works to have thriving downtowns in communities across the state.
