In October, the Polish Heritage Society will not hold its usual first Wednesday meeting at 10 a.m.  Instead, in the afternoon of October 4, a group is car-pooling to the Polish Center of Discovery and Learning at Elms College in Chicopee. A guide will take the group on a private tour of the facility that spans three floors. He will talk about the exhibits and Polish culture as well as answer questions. The tour will take 1½ hours and an elevator will accommodate anyone who needs it. The Polish Heritage Society welcomes non-members to join in on this field trip to Chicopee.

From their website, “The Polish Center of Discovery and Learning is a living monument that celebrates the many contributions, both past and present, made to the economy, arts, and sciences of our nation by Polish people and their descendants.” To learn more about the facility go to their website.

The group will go to Chicopee in a convoy. If you need a ride or are willing to take passengers, we will meet at the Suffield Ambulance Building at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4 and be at the Center around 1 p.m. when it opens. If you have questions, and to RSVP, please contact Sara Zak at 860-668-7194 as soon as possible.
