Remembering Dustin

We cannot begin to express the pride we have in the people of our Town as everyone came together during this difficult time to honor our son/brother Dustin.

As our Police Department escorted the procession from Bradley Airport to and through our Town, Dustin was welcomed home with flags hung above traveled roads by various Fire Departments; Police, fire and rescue services stood at attention; family friends and neighbors as well as fellow citizens lined the streets waving their flags. The vast attendance to pay one’s last respects at Dustin’s funeral was humbling and moving. The procession to Sacred Heart Church with hundreds of school kids waving flags while he passed was so heartfelt, we knew he was smiling with glee as he kissed each one with his smile.

The Church service given by Father Jette was heartfelt, just as if he knew Dustin. The procession to the cemetery held another surprise with more children waving flags and standing at attention. The service was most honorable, respectful, tearful, and beautiful.

With gratitude,

Brian, Karen and Annette Doyon
