Heather Bale of Touchpoints at Chestnut and Fresh River Healthcare and Mary Ann Cirone, RN, of Home and Community Health Services will be hosting a special hospice program on October 10 beginning at 5 p.m.

Together with you, they will share a meal, plant beautiful bulbs that will fill your homes with holiday joy, and learn about the hospice care that provides choice, comfort, education and support for those with life-limiting illnesses and those who care for them.

Please register for this free program by Friday, October 6 by calling the Senior Center.

Your Home and Title 19 Many seniors are worried about what will happen to their homes if they or their spouses have to enter a nursing home. Join us on Tuesday, October 17 at 5:30 p.m. with Greater Hartford Legal Aid who will explain how much income the spouse living at home can keep and whether the home can be transferred to a family member.

Light refreshments will be served. Please register for this free program by October 13 by calling the Senior Center.

CHOICES Counselors are available to assist with Medicare open enrollment on Thursday, October 12 beginning at 10 a.m. and Saturday, October 21 beginning at 9 a.m. by appointment. Call the Senior Center today to schedule yours.

NOVA Hearing Services provides free hearing screenings, cleans hearing aids, and performs battery checks and replacement, and can answer any questions you have regarding hearing or hearing devices on the first Monday of each month beginning at 1 p.m. Call to schedule your appointment.

Free blood pressure screenings, sponsored by Emergency Aid Association, on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month beginning at 11 a.m.
