The Suffield Historical Society will meet Wednesday, November 15, 7 p.m. at the Senior Center. President Ed Chase has spent many years researching the Pynchons, father William and son John, who settled in Springfield. John was the man with the vision, the organization and the fortitude to create the town of Suffield. Ed will discuss the early beginnings and the hardships endured by the first settlers.
