Every year, on the Wednesday following the Manchester Road Race, the Charlie Robbins Club meets for lunch. The Club consists of anyone age 75 and up who participated in that year’s Manchester Road Race. Charlie “Doc” Robbins, who ran in the Road Race 50 consecutive times and 57 times overall, died in 2006 at age 85.

The annual Club luncheon is generously hosted by the Arbors of Hop Brook Retirement Community in Manchester.

This year’s Manchester Road Race was held on November 23 (Thanksgiving Day). This was the 81st running of the 4.748-mile race. 11,282 registered runners and walkers finished the race this year.
