The Polish Heritage Society was unable to meet in February due to weather conditions. Given that snow is still possible for at least another month please note that PHS meetings will not be held if the schools are closed due to bad weather. The scheduled topic for that meeting (Wedding and Anniversary Customs) will be presented at a future session.
The March meeting of the PHS will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at 10 a.m. in the Suffield Ambulance Center at 205 Bridge St. Jim Turek will present some recently discovered history pertaining to Saint Joseph’s Church, including its establishment within the Diocese of Hartford as well as its construction and furnishing.
Anyone with an interest in the Polish culture is welcome to attend these meetings. It is not necessary to be a Suffield resident.
