Michaela Conway
Suffield High School World Language Department is pleased to announce Michaela Conway as the World Language Student of the Month for March. Michaela is a junior in Spanish V having studied Spanish in Suffield since her days at McAlister. I am very pleased to have Michaela in class this year. She is a student of the highest caliber. Michaela truly exemplifies the SHS core values – respect, responsibility, rigor, integrity and creativity. Michaela always works her hardest and is willing to take risks for learning. She puts one hundred percent into every assignment and is well prepared for class each day. Her class participation is outstanding. Next year Michaela intends to begin the study of American Sign Language – a newer course offering at Suffield High School.
Outside of the classroom Michaela has been on the Suffield High School Varsity field hockey team for the past three years and looks forward to her senior season in the fall. Michaela is a member of the SHS chapter of Best Buddies and is on the Wildcat Advisory Group – WAG – and helps with eighth grade information night and ninth grade orientation. Michaela also appears in the Suffield High School musical production of “Mary Poppins.” In the summer Michaela works as a camp counselor at The Red Door Theater Summer Camp. Michaela is the daughter of Kristen and Greg Conway.
