The Kevin Prater Band is pictured at Hilltop Farm during the Hendee motorcycle rally last summer. From the left: Kevin Prater, Adam Burrows, Jake Burrows, Danny Stiltner, and Tom Timberlake. The two violinists in front, Katie and Sarah Michael, are local girls who volunteered to join in.

Make your Fourth of July special this year by attending an outdoor concert with The Kevin Prater Band!

The free concert will take place on Wednesday, July 4, in the bandstand on middle green in the center of Suffield. Music will begin around 5 p.m. and will continue into the evening. There will be food and soft drinks available for purchase, or you can bring your own picnic.

The Kevin Prater Band (KPB) bases their sound on strong vocal harmonies. Built around high trios, their style is reminiscent of the classic Seldom Scene band and 1970’s Country Gentlemen performances. They are steeped in the tradition of Gospel music and pride themselves on their a cappella hymns. The band includes classic country in their repertoire and loves bringing old familiar favorites to life. Add a little vintage rock and roll, classic country, and acoustic music; you never know what else you might experience at a KPB show!

The concert is sponsored by Paddle Faster Productions, LLC, as a promotion for the Paddle Faster Bluegrass Festival coming up on August 18. Check out this great concert, and fall in love with bluegrass music. Info at Facebook/PaddleFasterProductions.
