James “Jimmy” Casella

Congratulations to James “Jimmy” Casella who is our Rotary Student of the Month for May.

James is a senior at Suffield High School who has challenged himself throughout his four years with many AP and Honors courses. Jimmy is planning to attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the fall to study robotics engineering and develop robotic technologies. Jimmy is very active at Suffield High School. He has been a member of our SWAT Support Team for the last three years. Jimmy has been a member of the Earth & Outing Club for four years, and has been the president of the club for three of those four years. He has been on ACES High Robotics Team for four years as an FTC programmer, team photographer and Design Team member. Jimmy has also been involved in tutoring students in chemistry, physics and precalculus.

In his spare time, Jimmy enjoys programming, juggling, hiking, reading, photography, and Rubik’s Cube; he also enjoys learning to ride the unicycle.

Jimmy is a leader in the clubs he is involved with and is a positive addition to Suffield High School. It is no surprise that Jimmy was chosen as Rotary Student of the Month. Congratulations Jimmy!
