The Suffield Woman’s Club (SWC) held their Annual Meeting this past May at Figaro’s Restaurant. In addition to installing the 2018-2019 Officers, the Club was thrilled to honor 10 Members who have served over 40 years! They received a Certificate of Appreciation for their dedication to the SWC and a 24-karat gold-plated pineapple ornament (the Club’s symbol of hospitality) decorated with clear crystals. Recipients include Sue Fuller, 64 years; Winnie Johnson, 64 years; Phyllis Stafford, 64 years; Mary Ann Alfano, 63 years; Astrid Hanzalek, 59 years; Joan Bedard, 48 years; Priscilla Lennon, 48 years; Fran Scully, 48 years; Joanne Sullivan, 46 years; Loretta Ruggiero, 45 years. Member Judy Spaulding, who passed away this past March, had served 46 years.
The Club was also proud to bestow upon member Joan Bedard an Honorary Membership which is given to a member whose participation and dedication to the Club and community has proven to be exemplary. She received a Certificate of Appreciation for her devoted and invaluable service.
The Suffield Woman’s Club is a 501(c)3 organization and a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) which is an international organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
