The November 6 Election will be held in the Middle School Gymnasium, 350 Mountain Road, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Absentee ballot voting is available for eligible voters. There is regular absentee balloting, supervised absentee balloting, emergency absentee balloting and permanently physically disabled absentee balloting. For information on absentee voting contact the town clerk at 860-668-3880.

A Special Registration Session for the admission of those who become 18 years of age, a citizen or a resident of Suffield after the October 30 deadline and for any member of the armed forces desiring to be made an elector, or by any former member of the armed forces discharged therefrom within the calendar year may register to vote on Monday, November 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The session will be held in the Registrars of Voters Office in the Town Hall, lower level.

Election Day Registration (EDR) will be held from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., in the Town Hall. Please use rear entrance. EDR is for qualified Suffield residents who are not registered to vote on Election Day. They must appear in person and provide the required proof of residence.

An accessible voter-verified paper ballot marking system will be available at the polls and EDR locations. This system is available to all electors. The Ballot Marking System is an accessible voting device enabling a voter with different disabilities – including visual impairment – to vote privately and independently. The voting device features a touchscreen display and includes alternatives such as audio, tactile keys, Jelly Bean button, and customizable displays to accommodate voters with a wide range of physical, sensory, cognitive and literacy abilities. This system accurately marks the same preprinted ballots given to sighted voters. The machine-marked ballots can then be run through an optical-scan tabulator in the same manner as all other voter-marked ballots.

Curbside voting is available for electors who are temporarily physically incapacitated on Election Day and can get to the polling place parking lot. For more information contact the registrars of voters at 860-668-3850.

Election Results Reporting will be available for public viewing on the CT Election Center website http://ctemspublic.pcctg.net/ Preliminary election results will be electronically submitted to the Secretary of the State by midnight Election Day. These results will be on the website. The final results are required to be submitted within 48 hours of the election. Suffield’s election officials will submit the results as soon as possible.
