The Suffield Polish Heritage Society will hold its monthly meeting (first Wednesday) on November 7 at 10 a.m. in the Ambulance Center, 205 Bridge Street.
Our speaker will be Stephen Jendrysik, author of The Polish Community of Chicopee (2005, Arcadia Publishing Company) and major contributor to “Polish Heritage: A Proud Community in Western Massachusetts” (2017, Springfield Republican.) His presentation, “The Story of Polish Immigration to the Connecticut River Valley” will emphasize the three major periods of Polish immigration. Mr. Jendrysik will highlight their trials, tribulations and fierce dedication to the ideals of free enterprise and democratic pluralism.
Polish Heritage Society meetings are open to anyone who is interested in learning about, and perpetuating, the Polish culture.
