James F. Coggins, Jr. Community Service Award

The 2019 recipient of the James F. Coggins Community Service Award is Justin Seger. In recognition of his commitment, Justin, a student at Suffield High School, received $1,000. The James Coggins Community Service Award is given each year to a graduating highschool senior who demonstrates selflessness, generosity and concern for the community as evidenced by their volunteer activities. Justin has volunteered more than 1,000 hours for the Suffield Fire Department! Justin’s father is a firefighter and his role model. Starting at the age of fourteen, Justin has been to more than 500 calls and participated in four hundred hours of training. Justin will be attending the Fire Academy in the fall. On behalf of the SCA scholarship committee, we wish Justin continued success in all his endeavors!
