Vision Screening with the Lions Club: Friday, October 4, 10 a.m.-noon. The first Friday of the month the Lions Club is offering free vision screenings to kids ages 6 months to 6 years old.

The Tooth Fairy VS Santa by and with Jamie L. B. Deenihan: Monday, October 7, 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Jamie Deenihan’s third children’s book is being released! Yay! Come meet her, listen to her read her latest book, make a craft, have a snack, bring a friend and get a copy of her book signed! (Copies will be available for purchase.) See you there!

Halloween Costume Party: Wednesday, October 23 at 10:15 a.m. Ages 2–5. Show off your Halloween while we listen to a Halloween story, play Halloween games, make Halloween crafts, munch on apples, donuts, and drink apple cider. Sponsored by the Friends of Kent Memorial Library. Registration is limited.

Fall Story Time: Ages 2–5. Story Time is in progress. Come join us for the last three weeks of stories and a craft, Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. Register or drop-in.

Time for Tots: Ages 2–3. Four weeks, starting Wednesday, October 30 at 10:15 a.m. After 20-30 minutes of stories, songs and a craft, stay to play with the toys, puppet theater, play house and train table. Registration is limited.

Every Month

Read to a Dog: Saturday, October 19 (10:30–11:30 a.m.). Practice reading – to a dog! Individual reading sessions last 15 minutes. Working on your reading? Feeling a bit shy about reading? Want to show off your skills? Come read to a certified dog from Healers with Halo’s. Check them out at www.boltenvet.com. Registration required.

Rhyme Time: Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Bring your singing voice on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. We sing, dance, blow bubbles — and have fun! Drop in.

Play Group: Fridays, 10 a.m.–noon. Looking to meet other parents and kids? Want out of the house? Come to Play-Group, offered to care-givers and children. Drop-in.
