A representative from Horizon Wings Raptor Rehabilitation & Education Center in Ashford, Conn will speak about the world of raptors that share the same habitat but are active at different times. Falcons, hawks and eagles often occupy the same forests, pastures and even suburbs as nocturnal owls. You’ll learn about these beautiful and sometimes elusive animals and see some up close.

After the one-hour presentation, you’ll be invited outside for an Owl Prowl. Since Hilltop terrain is uneven and it will be dark, please bring a flashlight. Your children six or older are welcome provided you’re with them.

The cost is $6 per person. Online registration is required at https://www.hilltopfarmsuffield.org/events. Seating is limited and is on a first-come-first-served basis.

After your evening Owl Prowl, plan on coming back to Hilltop the next day, Sunday, March 5 for the farm’s annual Maple Syrup Making Demo. The program runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s a lot of steamy fun and most instructive. Registration is not required.
