During these uncertain times, we’ve all experienced loads of unhealthy negativity. There is a simple and positive activity that we can do in the outdoor environment.
There are several different varieties of basil that one can plant. I always plant seeds but plants are also available.
Importance of friable soil: Crumbly, friable soil permits roots and other underground plant parts to thrive.
This meeting has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Suffield Garden Club will hold a monthly meeting on Monday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kent Memorial Library. Refreshments are followed by our guest speakers at 7 p.m.
Here are some friendly tips and pastimes for a February To-do List:
Small lawns can be dethatched using a specialized, hand-held dethatching rake or an iron rake. Or, use a dethatcher that attaches to a sit-down mower (see photo in Part 1 of 2).
The Suffield Garden Club will hold a monthly meeting on Monday, December 2 at 11:45 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall. Coffee, tea, a light luncheon and a short business meeting are followed by a guest speaker at 1 p.m.
