At their monthly meeting on September 13 at Crabby Joe’s Restaurant, the Citizens Restoring Congamond (CRC) was presented a check by the Suffield Woman’s Club for use on the Babb’s Park project.
Deb Herath said, “Due to CRC’s dedication, the building became registered as a National Historic Building, and we have worked to help bring this lake front property back from a neglected eyesore to a jewel.” CRC members held their Volunteer Day which involved the community in helping to restore the beach. The town has also made improvements for our children’s sporting events and for community activities.
“We are pleased that the Suffield Woman’s Club saw fit to honor CRC with this donation to Babb’s Park. We’re delighted to be recognized as an organization making a difference to the community of Suffield.”
