Join the Suffield High School Drama Club on a “jolly holiday” as it presents the musical extravaganza, Mary Poppins, based on the stories of P. L. Travers and the Walt Disney film.

We are introduced to the Banks Household in turmoil by Bert (played by Jack Flanagan). Jane and Michael Banks (played by Abby Halasi-Kun and Bryan Tompkins) have chased off their latest nanny (played by Michaela Conway) with their wild behavior. Their parents, George and Winifred (played by Ben Grigoriou and Julia Hart) have had enough and place an advertisement for the strictest of nannies. But Jane and Michael have other ideas, and instead wish for a nanny to “play games, all sorts.” Mary Poppins (played by Olivia Grimard), arrives to answer the children’s advertisement instead. She is a nanny “practically perfect in every way.” Together they go on a variety of adventures. With lessons hidden in games, can Mary Poppins teach the children, and their parents, the importance of love and family?

The performance will take place at the Suffield High School Auditorium on Thursday, March 15, Friday, March 16, and Saturday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students/seniors and $15 for adults. We can guarantee it will be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
