Each year at Suffield Academy, the school chooses a charity to fundraise for over the course of the school year. This year, the charity proposed by senior Sarah Swanson, Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, was chosen. For months the student council and the school at large have been working to plan our upcoming fundraising event, the Suffield Academy telethon.
For the fifth year in a row, we will look to raise money and awareness for our school charity by live-streaming performances and videos on our school website while allowing viewers to call in. This year, the event will take place on March 1 from 7–10 p.m. We will look to raise $30,000 in these 3 hours out of our $50,000 year-long goal.
