Peter Connolly and Zach Yahn
The Suffield High School Athletic Booster Club has chosen Peter Connolly, Zach Yahne, and Olivia Motherway as their June Athletes of the Month. Students are awarded this honor based on their athletic and academic accomplishments, attitudes and leadership skills.
Peter Connolly and Zach Yahne are co-captains of the Suffield High School boys’ tennis team this year. Together they have won the NCCC for #1 doubles this year and made it to the sweet 16 round in the state tournament. Both students are known for their positive attitudes and are respected by every coach in the conference. Peter plans to attend Clarkson University in the fall and study mechanical engineering. Zach will be attending Bryant University in the fall and plans to major in accounting.
Olivia Motherway
Olivia Motherway has spent four years on varsity outdoor track. She competed at the championship level all four years and is a three-year qualifier in high jump for the Class M state championships. Olivia is a great role model and is always willing to help her teammates. She continuously looks for ways to improve. Olivia is an honors student and plans to attend the University of Rhode Island to study communicative disorders.
