Stacey Coleman has always enjoyed taking photographs of her children. She was so good at it that her friends and family asked her to take photos of their children. So, what began as a passionate hobby became Stacey Coleman, professional photographer.

Her style is simple, natural and organic. She wants the subject to be the focus of the photo not a busy background. That is reflected in her studio where she has different areas to photograph her newborn clients and their Moms; simple and natural yes, but definitely elegant. She likes to do outdoor work as well, especially for her high school clients and families. She has her favorite settings around the area where she can work with trees and grasses to make a relaxed backdrop but not overpower the subject.

For the infants there are plenty of choices of high quality outfits, headbands, hats and bonnets, bow ties and jewelry in her collection, which is continually growing. For the adults there are local hair and make-up specialists Stacey works with who come to the studio to help subjects create the right look for the desired outcome.

Stacey previously worked in a hospital with newborns and post-partum moms. She has a degree in B.S.N., R.N. and is currently licensed. Her clients are very comfortable with her handling their newborns, and she even helps Moms in answering some questions they may have about their babies. Her passion for her little ones comes through loud and clear, so much so that her clients often become extended family. She gets to watch them grow as they come back for their milestone memory photos.

She says being a Mom has inspired her to take better photos because she knows how important it is; to capture that newborn face as soon as possible because it is so different from the face of a one-month old.

She also enjoys working with high school students and families. To capture those once-in-a-lifetime events and making forever memories is what drives her.

She says it is not too early for high school juniors to get their senior photos done. Some schools want them as early as August. Make sure you book early enough so she can coordinate hair and make-up, if necessary.

Stacey will do weddings, but newborns, maternity, Mommy and me, high school students and families are her passion.

Marsha, her associate, books appointments and prepares a video slideshow set to music so when it comes to select your photos you can see them in a beautiful but methodical way.

You can have your favorite photos finished into a fine art piece in a number of ways from a canvas wrap, a fully framed photo or an unframed print you can frame yourself. They also offer photo books in many sizes, shapes and finishes. There are demonstrations of all these choices throughout the studio so you can see the options first hand before making the final decision. Another service they offer is help in where and how to hang your finished piece in your home. In addition, you can have them shipped to your door or pick them up at the studio.
