On May 10, the Friends of Suffield gathered at Suffield Senior Center for their annual grant distribution ceremony. The Friends of Suffield proudly gave $14,000 to 14 excited grant recipients! The Friends of Suffield grants financially support local non-profit groups and organizations whose work reflects our mission to enrich the town of Suffield.

The grants awarded this year will benefit the community, Suffield public schools, local boys and girls clubs and non-profit organizations listed below. The recipients will use the grant funds towards library books, fuel assistance, food delivery support, elementary enrichment programs and many other important projects and programs for the town.

“This year, as always, we had outstanding grant requests”, said Lori Sych, president of the Friends of Suffield. “Friends of Suffield had a good year and were able to donate approximately $14,000 to 14 local organizations. I wish every townsperson could read the grant proposals and see what great things are going on in the town. We are just so happy we could help make them happen.”

The Friends of Suffield’s upcoming signature event, Suffield on the Green and Craft Fair, generates the majority of the funds for the grants.
