The Suffield Historical Society is again planning our traditional Holidayfest party, open to the public at the King House Museum on the first weekend of December. The special loan exhibit in the event this year is Boxes, Baskets, and Curious Containers, a challenging topic. As this announcement is being written, some interesting loan items are arriving at the museum; there’s still plenty of time for Society members and friends to offer exhibit items for a short loan and make this another entertaining show.

In addition to the special exhibit, Holidayfest provides a congenial atmosphere in the old Colonial home at 232 South Main Street, with Christmas decorations, refreshments, and a blazing fire in the great kitchen fireplace. The Society invites everyone to come and enjoy this free party on December 3 and 4, from 11 to 4 p.m. each day.
