Ellen Hoverkamp’s presentation on an alternative way to digitally capture plant and flower images is perfect for garden photographers. Her photographs have been exhibited throughout New England, and have been published in several books and magazines. She has been using the flatbed scanner for her photography since 1997. Ellen was awarded the Garden Writer’s Gold Medal for photography for her collaboration with Ken Druse on the gardening book, Natural Companions, The Garden Lover’s Guide to Plant Combinations. Her most recent project at the West Haven train station features photographic panels of sea glass, seaweed, and shells. Ellen will speak at the Suffield Garden Club’s Monday, November 7 meeting, Second Baptist Church, 100 Main Street, Suffield.
