TappedSecond Baptist Church is hosting a showing of the award winning documentary, Tapped, on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7 p.m. in its Fellowship Hall. The public is invited.

Water is our most precious natural resource. The west of the country has been struggling with a multi-year drought. Now, almost 70% of Connecticut is in severe drought, with the remainder of the state in a moderate drought. It is critical that we protect our water. Tapped is a documentary about the bottled water industry and its effect on our health, climate change, and pollution. The film focuses on what happened when Nestlé Bottling Co. set up shop in a town in Maine. Here in our state, as Niagara Water Bottling Co. builds its plant in Bloomfield, it is time to educate ourselves about the impact of the water bottling industry on our water supplies and our environment.

Members of Save Our Water CT will be present for a question and answer session after the showing. They will also give an update on their efforts to pass legislation that will protect Connecticut’s water from more incursions by the water bottling industry.
