Cheri DeMaria, who with her husband Tom, owns Hair Unlimited, has written a children’s book. It is about bees and one of the reasons for that particular subject is that, as a gardener she is concerned about the plight of honeybees. It is her hope that this book may help children not be afraid of bees, but to respect and understand their place in nature.
It is a short book for fairly young children and It’s name is The Little Honey Bee. It is beautifully and colorfully illustrated by Kathy Lloyd who is also a Suffield resident. Cheri said that Kathy did an amazing job at capturing how she wanted the pages to look.
The book costs $8.99 and may be purchased at Hair Unlimited on Mountain Rd. or at Cupola Hollow Farms, 1510 North Stone St. in West Suffield.
