A recent look at the playground at Spaulding School will reveal two new and colorful benches where students can congregate when looking for a friend with whom to play during recess.
The idea came from teachers at Spaulding School. John Cremins, an Eagle Scout who attended Spaulding School, created and installed the beautifully crafted benches. John led fundraising efforts to purchase the materials and created an educational video on how to best use the benches.
All students at Spaulding School watched his video during an assembly on kindness, when the buddy benches were introduced. The school community thanks John for his efforts to promote kindness for all of the shining stars at Spaulding School.
