November 11 was a day of special importance at Spaulding School. Students honored nearly fifty veterans at an assembly where the school community learned of the importance of the day and also the impact of the heroism and bravery of our veterans on our society. Students shared facts about the day and read poems regarding the contributions of our veterans. In addition to the veterans, students, faculty and staff members, Board of Education Chair Jeanne Gee and Board of Finance Board Member Justin Donnelly were in attendance.

After the assembly, a breakfast was provided for Veterans and our Spaulding Star students. During the week, students engaged in classroom lessons that deepened their understanding and appreciation of this important day and its origins. Additionally, students wrote letters of thanks to veterans as part of the Operation Gratitude initiative. We are proud of our veterans and their legacy. The freedom that we enjoy today is due to their bravery and dedication to the United States of America.
