Thirty-four issues of the Annual Suffield Town Report are Maggie Phillippon’s current score! In a mind-boggling personal report, Maggie wrote that she had just submitted the 2016 town report to be proofed.
Co-editor of the report with John Smith, Maggie prepares the publication as one of her Maggie’s Fine Line products. With reports from Suffield boards and commissions chairmen, Maggie and John combine photographs taken by John, Ray Pioggia and Lester Smith, with special thanks to The Suffield Observer.
The handsome result is published by the Board of Finance in accordance with the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut. Copies are available at the Suffield Town Hall.
How Maggie accomplishes so much is a mystery. Often on the move, she and George trekked Mayan ruins with family in Guatemala in June then spent the month of July in Italy experiencing Corsica and Elba, the Carrara quarry, Monte Carlo and Nice.
They flew to Boston in late August to visit New England family, then home to Arizona’s 112 degree heat and to extreme exhaustion.
After a short hospital stay, Maggie supervised a complete renovation of their landscape and completed the first volume of her family history, then launched a series of visits to and from family and friends.
