First National Bank of Suffield Announces Promotions

Nancy Viggiano, President and Chief Executive Officer of The First National Bank of Suffield, recently announced the promotions of Thomas Borek to Commercial Loan Officer; Susan Adams to Assistant Vice President; Betty Rubner to Assistant Vice President and David Iannucci to Assistant Vice President.

“We are happy to announce Mr. Borek’s promotion. Although Tom is fairly new to the banking industry, he has proven to be a real asset to our team,” said Ms. Viggiano.

Mr. Borek joined the Bank as a Commercial Credit Analyst in 2014 and became a Commercial Lender in 2015. He earned a BA in Accounting from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts and has more than seven years of experience in the financial services industry.

“Ms. Adams has had a long and successful career here at the Bank, and it is our pleasure to name her an Assistant Vice President,” said Ms. Viggiano.

Ms. Adams first joined the Bank in 1992 as a teller. She also served as head teller before becoming a loan administrator. She was named Mortgage Operations Officer in 2009. Ms. Adams graduated with honors from the New England College of Finance in 1998 with an Associates of Science, and earned a Professional Development Certificate in Commercial Lending in 2007.

An active member of her community, Ms. Adams volunteered as an EMT with Suffield Volunteer Ambulance, was a member of the Suffield Fire Department Auxiliary, was a Girl Scout leader, coached for the Suffield First Lego League and volunteered for the “Aces High” First Robotics team. She has also been a board member of the Suffield Chamber of Commerce, serving most recently as Vice President.

“Ms. Rubner is a valuable member of the Bank’s staff and I am happy to announce this next step in her career,” said Ms. Viggiano.

Ms. Rubner has twenty years of banking experience in deposit operations and information technology. She has been an officer of the Bank since 2008. Ms. Rubner has completed several professional banking and technology professional development programs.

She currently serves on the Suffield Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. A native of Hampden, Massachusetts, Ms. Rubner lives in Enfield with her husband.

“Mr. Iannucci brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Bank. We are happy to welcome him and look forward to his continuing success with us,” said Ms. Viggiano.

After working in his family’s property management business, Mr. Iannucci received a BS in political and communication science. He has since worked in the residential lending industry with leading national and community-based mortgage lenders. His focus has been on Six Sigma project management, trend analysis, quality control and assurance, and process optimization.

Mr. Iannucci lives in East Granby with his wife and four children. An avid conservationist, he is a board member of the East Granby Land Trust and, with his family, loves to explore the history of New England’s towns and villages.
