The scouts, as well as some brave parents and family members, were allowed to tour the museum privately after it had been closed to the general public for the day. The trip included several hands-on activities including a live animal demonstration as well as engineering design activity. The evening was capped off by a lightning demonstration.

A total of 26 residents camped inside the museum for the night. The optional pack event concluded the following morning with a planetarium show and an IMAX movie in the Mugar Omni Theatre.
