The Spaulding School community was fortunate recently to welcome famed children’s book author, Eric Litwin.
This wonderful opportunity came to fruition as a result of the efforts of Shannon Insero, the school’s library media specialist, who collaborated with area schools to bring Mr. Litwin to this area of Connecticut.
Mrs. Insero and the PTO planned this successful school event in which the original author of the Pete the Cat series engaged students in early literacy and music. Singing and dancing accompanied read-alouds of several of his well-known books, as Mr. Litwin promoted a love of reading and song.
