It was magic time for The Suffield Players this year at the annual Suffield on the Green town fair, held on September 9 and 10 in the center of town. Free face-painting was offered to visitors at the Players booth, as well as selfie photos with Billy Shakespeare, the groups’ mannequin mascot.

Green folks also heard about the Players’ upcoming theatre season, including their October production of Shakespeare’s hilarious comedy Much Ado About Nothing. Free raffle drawings were held throughout the weekend: every hour, two opening night tickets were given away for any season show!!

Twenty-two local volunteers participated at The Suffield Players booth, face-painting, helping dress folks in Shakespeare costumes for their selfies, or sharing free theatre brochures (many volunteers in Shakespearean garb themselves!) Thanks to Helen Hogan, Mason Beiter, Vanda Doyle, Lisa Parker, Liz D’Alessandro, Peter, Hannah and Micah Zaitz, Karen and Ron Balaska, Tyler Wolfson, Stephanie Zalewski, Mary Fernandez-Sierra, Mark Proulx, Claire Neild, Dana Ring, Roger A. Ochs, Robert Lunde, Tom Hebert, Karen Lewandoski, Kim LaChance, and Jerry Zalewski.

The Suffield Players were thrilled to participate at Suffield on the Green (they have been onsite every year since the fair began!) A wonderful time was had by all!
