Step into Spring!

SuffieldParksandRec_2018_2_FINAL_5.95x3Spring is just around the corner and when the nice weather finally arrives there will be many wonderful programs for all ages, sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department!

The following is a partial list of upcoming programs. Register now and take advantage of these and more great program offerings!

Golf Lessons for youth and adults will be held at Copper Hill Golf Academy beginning the end of April.

Tennis Lessons for youth and adults will be held at the Family Recreation Complex. The mini courts will also be used for a special age appropriate tennis program to introduce tennis skills to the very beginner.

An Introduction to Horseback Riding program will again be offered for youth.

Various Fitness classes for adults will also be held: Gutts and Butts, Body Makeover, Sculpt and Slim, Spring Steppers, Walkers and Strollers, Self Defense, Yoga and Friends and Family Bowling Nights!

Speed Training Clinic for grades three through eight will help active students learn proper warm up exercises, techniques to enhance coordination and flexibility and much more.

A variety of youth crafts and educational programs such as creative and coloring crafts, clay-making classes, Easter egg hunt, cheerleading, a fun food class as well as Science, and LEGO® programs and various other arts and crafts classes.

The popular pre-school, ages 2–4 Movers and Shakers program is back by popular demand and will begin at the end of March! Spend the morning dancing, singing and making new friends.

Other pre-school programs include a family fitness fun class and a creative animal clay making class!

Spend part of your April vacation taking a Babysitter Safety certification course and learn safety techniques and how to babysit children properly.

New this Spring is a youth/parent Fishing program which will be held at Sunrise Park.

For boys and girls interested in learning about cooking and safe kitchen practices, there will be an after school “Snack Time” cooking program beginning in April.
