Congratulations to our 183 seniors who graduated from Suffield High School on June 16. We wish them happiness and success on their road through life. Our hope is that we have prepared them to be upstanding citizens in our complex world of today and tomorrow.
In the days before graduation numerous scholarships and awards were received by over 85 students in the graduating class of 2018. Suffield High School’s Class Scholars were Marissa Guzzo, Salutatorian and Joseph Longo, Valedictorian.
Gratitude and appreciation goes to the graduates’ families and teachers because their support and guidance are vital to a student’s ability to learn, grow and succeed.
Occasionally community members ask about the opportunities for Suffield graduates. The majority of our students go on to study at postsecondary institutions of learning, some enlist in the military, while there are a few who choose to go directly into the workforce. Our 2018 graduates were accepted to 164 institutions of higher education or have enlisted in the following branches of the United States Armed Forces:
U.S. Coast Guard
U.S. Marines
U.S. Army
U.S. Air Force
