“The course of true love never did run smooth.”

The SHS Drama Club presents Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream November 1, 2, and 3 in the auditorium at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $7 for students/senior citizens and $10 for adults. The running time for this show is 1 hour and 15 minutes.

More than 50 students have been rehearsing and building sets for this delightful comedy by William Shakespeare.

Love is in the air! The city of Athens is preparing for the wedding of Duke Theseus (Ben Grigoriou) to an Amazonian Queen (Madison Zielinski). Meanwhile, star-crossed lovers (Julia Hart and Liam Duffy) are trying to escape an arranged wedding orchestrated by Hermia’s mother (Tabitha Hinkle). As they run away to a magical forest, another couple (Olivia Dalfino and Fletcher Seymour) is trying to find love too. Filled with magic from the king and queen of the fairies (Kelcy Ryan and Jack Burke) and the mischievous sprite Puck (Abby Halasi-Kun), along with some crazy Athens entertainers (led by Kristen McCarthy), the forest becomes a place of love, mirth and misdirection.

Please support the arts at Suffield High School by attending this spirited show!
