Summer Reading Program
Kick-off the 2019 Summer Reading Program on Saturday, June 29 at our Grand Opening! Woohoo!
Children ages 3 — 5 and kids in grades K — 4 are invited to read by yourself or together. Each week you participate earn a raffle ticket for one of the Grand Prizes (Sonny’s Gift Card, Tent, Legos and more) to be awarded at the end of the five-week program. And the wheel is back! Each week, spin the wheel for more fun giveaways. The 2019 Summer Reading Program begins on Saturday, June 29 and will end on Saturday, August 3. The program is funded by the Friends of Kent Memorial Library.
If you’re in grades 5 — 12 and would like a chance to win some great giveaways, here’s what you need to do: You can read a book or a magazine—you can read just about anything! Come to the library from June 29 to August 3 and fill out a raffle ticket. Earn two free raffle tickets each week: one for a weekly prize (a $10 gift card to Dunkin Donuts, Spare Time, Subway, Five Below and more). The second raffle ticket is for one of the Grand Prizes ($75 gift card to Sonny’s Place, Target, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon. Oh! And the wheel is back! Each week you participate, you get to spin the wheel for more fun giveaways.
Forest Park Zoo on the Go
Bring the whole family to Kent Memorial Library’s GRAND OPENING on Saturday, June 29 from 11—noon and meet live animals. Get up-close and personal; learn about their habitats, behaviors and diets.
Balloon Art
Balloon Artist Catalina Lapointe will be at the GRAND OPENING on Saturday, June 29 from 10:30 — noon. Stop by and check out the library and don’t leave without one of Catalina’s creations!
