The Sibbil Dwight Kent Chapter (Suffield) of The Daughters of The American Revolution (DAR) will sponsor a workshop to assist individuals starting a genealogical search or continuing to gather information about their ancestry, to be held in the training room of the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association, 205 Bridge Street, Suffield on Saturday, February 15 at 10 a.m. The workshop is open to the public and there is no charge. Application forms will be available for anyone interested in becoming a member of the DAR.

Jolen Mullen, who has been a professional genealogist for over twenty years will conduct the program and will provide personal assistance for participants. She has held many positions for genealogy research in both the state and national organization. She is currently involved in the French Task Force connection to the Revolution. This is a hands-on workshop, so bring your laptops and/or recording devices. Desks are available for your convenience and the facility has wireless internet service.
