Bowling Buddies Celebrate Holiday

The ice and snow of our early winter weather could not put a damper or contain the holiday spirit of the Suffield Parks and Recreation Department’s Bowling Buddies Holiday Party that was held at the Suffield Country Club on Monday, December 23. The party was originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, but due to the weather we had to postpone the party a few days. After a little juggling and reshuffling, the party went on!

Bowling Buddies group and families celebrated, danced and sang the night away. It was held again this year at the Suffield Country Club’s Sunset Tavern. The Sunset Tavern is a perfect location for the party. The staff are terrific, and the food was delicious and plentiful. The holiday party was filled with so much excitement and camaraderie as everyone celebrated the holidays with friends and family. Kevin Landolina, our volunteer DJ once again, spun everyone’s favorite tunes that kept the energy up as everyone danced and sang the night away! This year we give many thanks again to the First Suffield Bank-a division of PeoplesBank for generously sponsoring the event this year. The party means so much to the group.  The true meaning of the holidays with joy and friendships are abundant at the event and at our activities throughout the year.

If you are interested in joining the bowling/outing group as a bowler, special partner or assistant coach, please contact Donna Carney-Bastrzycki, at 668-3862 or email-dcarney@suffieldct.gov. We practice every Tuesday at the Spare Time Lanes in Windsor Locks from 4:30-7 p.m. and go on many fun outings throughout the year. The group is geared for participants age 14 through adult. We also have a Bowling Buddies Jr. group that is geared for younger bowlers. You must pre-register for these programs.
