Are you involved with a non-profit organization that could use a little extra funding? The Friends of Suffield, a volunteer organization committed to enriching our town and giving back to the community, is pleased to announce our annual call for grant requests. Applications are due by April 1.

All of the funds that we raise through our town events and activities, most notably Suffield on the Green and Craft Fair, are donated back to local non-profit groups and projects that enhance and improve the Suffield community. Recent recipients have included the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Suffield Community Aid, Crossroads Food Pantry, Kent Memorial Library, Second Baptist Church, Friends of the Farm at Hilltop, and many others. Requests have ranged from canoe paddles to chicken coops to fuel assistance.

How to apply: If your non-profit group would like to submit an application for consideration, complete a “disbursement request form” available on our website: www.friendsofsuffield.org. On the left side of the home page, click on the tab called “How to Request a Grant.” It will take you to a page with the request form. Please include a very specific description of what your requested funds would be used for, as well as all of your contact information. Completed request forms need to be emailed or postmarked by April 1.

All applications will be reviewed by Friends of Suffield members. Organizations that are selected will receive funds after May. Please feel free to contact Cindy at cinmaggio@gmail.com with any questions.

We are proud of the work and accomplishments made by previous grant recipients, and we look forward to reviewing the requests that come in this year!
