The Suffield Athletic Hall of Fame is pleased to recognize Lilia Rzecinski and Stephen Sattan as the recipients of their 2020 scholarships.
Each year since 2009 SAHOF has awarded scholarships to local student athletes who were graduating seniors attending Suffield High School, or residents of Suffield who attended Suffield Academy.
The scholarship criteria includes displaying sportsmanship on the playing fields along with standout academic and athletic achievements. Both were excellent students at SHS, and Lilia was the captain and MVP of the swim team, while Stephen was \captain of both the basketball and tennis teams and a key player on the soccer team.
The Suffield Athletic Hall of Fame honors Suffield’s greatest athletes, coaches, administrators, and teams. To be considered for induction, nominees must be out of high school at least five years and have a clearly defined athletic link to Suffield and have an outstanding impact on his or her sport while having displayed integrity and good character.
