During the last week in May and first week in June, the teachers at Suffield Cooperative Preschool made some special visits bringing graduation caps, diplomas and gifts to send off their 15 students, who will be moving on to kindergarten next year. They also visited the homes of the 12 students in the younger class, to celebrate them moving up to a four-year-old program.

It wasn’t what they had hoped to do at the end of this year, but the coronavirus has upset many plans, and the teachers and parents wanted to create a memorable experience for the children.

Teachers Gosia Baker (head teacher), Todd Turton and Jaime Johnson-Abbiatti visited each of the students, who come mostly from Suffield, but also from Windsor Locks, Windsor, Granby and Simsbury.

Members of the school’s Board were extremely excited to be able to provide a graduation for the children and were especially grateful to the teachers who volunteered their time for deliveries and connection to these special young people.
