FOFAH is planning several outside, socially distanced events at Hilltop throughout the year. Here is a listing of some of our 2021 events:
March 7 – Maple Sugar Boil on Sunday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
A community event of Maple Sugar Making. You can tap your sugar maple tree and contribute the sap for a sugar boil.
June 6 – Bald Eagle Golf Tournament
This annual event at the Suffield Country Club is a major “fun”draiser for The Friends of the Farm.
June 12 – A Monster Tag Sale!
You will be able to lease a space to sell your old treasures. Forms and details to be available later in March. June 12 is also Connecticut Open House Day! Tour the farm and see the progress in restoration made over the winter, as well as, perhaps, picking your plot for the Hilltop Community Garden.
July 24 – Vintage Motorcycle Meet and George Hendee Day
Our annual acknowledgement of the Indian Motorcycle co-founder’s birth. George Hendee built Hilltop Farm over 100 years ago.
Sept 6 – Labor Day
This is a fun, daylong “Celebration of the Farm” featuring regional agriculture and demonstrations.
Oct 1 – Oktoberfest and Barn Dance
An evening ticketed event and part of the continuation of Suffield 350 Anniversary.
You can be part of the fun for any of these events by being a volunteer or sponsor. More details on these and other possible events will be on our website at www.HilltopFarmSuffield.org or call 860-758-0668.
